Man, 70, dragged from car and attacked

An elderly man was dragged from his car and assaulted by thieves who smashed up his
vehicle and took his wallet on the NSW central coast, police say.
The 70-year-old was parked off Maidens Brush Road at Wyoming on Friday evening when
the three offenders struck, causing serious injuries which forced him into hospital.
They initially asked him for directions only to return about 15 minutes later,
around 10pm (AEST), to smash three of his car windows and pull him from the front
seat, police said.
The man suffered serious injuries, including severe bruising and facial fractures,
and cuts to much of his body as they attacked him on the ground.
The culprits, described as wearing light-coloured clothing, stole his wallet and ran
off.
One of them may have had a bandana over his face.
The man managed to make it back to his car and on Saturday his family took him to
Gosford Hospital for treatment.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
