Azeri doctors performed first open heart surgey in Shamakhy
Baku, October 16 (AzerTAc). An open heart surgery has been carried out for the first time at the Shamakhi Treatment Diagnostic Centre built with funding of the State Oil Comapny of Azerbaijan.
The operation was performed at the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and with financial support of SOCAR on local resident Telman Abdullayev, 48. The doctors of Shamakhi Treatment and Diagnostic Centre watched on monitors the operation carried out by thier peers of the Central Hospital of Oilmen.
The second operation was carried out on Leila Shukurova, 3.
Another 5 surgeries are expected within the next two days.
Such difficult heart operations had been earlier carried out in such regions of Azerbaijan as Lankaran, Nakhchivan, Shirvan, Gabala, Zagatala and Gazakh.
