PREMIER MEETS FRANCE'S MINISTER OF FOREIGN TRADE
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Batbold met Thursday Mrs. Anne-Marie Idrac, the Minister of State for foreign trade of the Republic of France.
The Premier thanked the French government for giving help to Mongolia's water purification and environment sector and underlined an importance of developing the collaboration in trade, economics, investments, agriculture and tourism, besides cooperating in the mining sphere.
The Premier has said the inter-governmental agreement on cooperation in nuclear energy sector, established between the two countries, has created wide opportunities to bring the bilateral cooperation into a high level and to start a collaboration in other sectors.
Mrs. Idrac has underlined that the Mongolia-France business forum, which attracted French business delegates, has become an important step to get au fait with Mongolia and to find new partners. Mentioning that her official visit has been paid successfully, she has said,"I am very happy that Mongolia has chosen France as its third neighbor."
She has said French businessmen are interested in Mongolia's business environment adding the French side decided to cooperate with Mongolia in purifying water in Ulaanbaatar and in renovating the sewage plant. The French side also wants to be in cooperation with Mongolia in international peacekeeping operation, she went on.
France's minister has noted that her country will pay attention to developing collaboration and ties with Mongolia in the sectors of trade, economics, investment and agriculture.
The Prime Minister has spoke about a successful development of the bilateral cooperation in scientific and archeological sectors, and said an exhibition about Mongolia will be mounted in France in 2011 on occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Independence of Mongolia.
“High level visits play main role in development of the bilateral relations. Your official visit has become an expression of widening cooperation between our countries,” Mr. Batbold said.
At the end of meeting, the Premier asked the Minister to convey his greetings and invitation to visit Mongolia to France's Premier Franois Fillon.
