ABOUT GOVERNMENT WORKS IN SEPTEMBER
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Head of the Cabinet Secretariat of the government Ch.Khurelbaatar spoke Wednesday at the cabinet meeting about activities the government did in September of 2010.
In the above period, the government submitted to parliament draft laws on the budget of 2011 and on 2011 budgets of social insurance fund and Human Development Fund.
In frames of USD 300 million soft loan, given by the government of China, a Minister of Finance was granted a right to sign an agreement of specialized credit for the project on construction of auto roads in western region.
Size of excise tax on some oil products was changed in order to keep fuel retail prices stable.
Salaries of state servants, pensiona, and allowance were increased by 30 per cent.
An agreement was signed on exploiting the money of a non-refundable aid amounting USD 9.5 million to be granted from the U.S government, for the project “Economic development. Democracy and governance”.
Construction was launched of a new annex of the 1 maternal house of the city.
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, the Ministry of Social Welfare and Labor and the “Oyu tolgoi” LLC signed an agreement to implement a project on improving capability of the Mongolia-S.Korea Technical College with a non-refundable aid of USD 5 million. Pursuant to this project, the joint college will be expanded into polytechnic college.
The cabinet made a decision to erect a primary unit of veterinary and breeding service in every soum.
A three-stage campaign of nature protection started nationwide. The UNDP and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) inked a document on implementation of the project on strengthening rural network of specially reserved areas protection.
