PRESIDENT MEETS FRENCH MINISTER OF FOREIGN TRADE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Paying a visit to Mongolia, the Minister of State for foreign trade of the Republic of France Mrs. Anne-Marie Idrac was received Wednesday by Mongolia's President Ts.Elbegdorj, in the Government House.
The State Head expressed thanks to France for supporting the democracy in Mongolia, and has stated that the first visit of the French minister is an expression of deepening of the bilateral cooperation in commerce and economics.
As Mr. Elbegdorj considers, the Mongolia-France business forum, attracting business delegates of the biggest and outstanding entities of France, is an event that focuses on bringing the trade and economic collaboration into a new level. Mentioning that Mongolia approved its policy on nuclear energy in 2009, the President has said he is ssatisfied with the decision France has made in order to support Mongolia and to develop with it a collaboration in boosting of this sector.
In her turn, Mrs. Idrac has expressed a gratitude for the audience, and granted a letter of the French President Nicolas Sarkozy to Ts.Elbegdorj. "In this letter our President has confirmed that he attaches a great importance to the Mongolia-France relations and cooperation," she added.
Noting that her visit has been running successfully, she has underlined that the sectors of mining, environment, tourism and education are the vital spheres of the bilateral cooperation. She has pointed out that the countries are going to establish a cooperation agreement in the nuclear energy sector during the visit. France has reaffirmed that it has been backing all talks between Mongolia and the European Union and Mongolian President's moratorium on capital punishment.
Then the dignitaries have discussed issues of widening the cooperation in all spheres.
