FIRST DEPUTY PREMIER RECEIVES F.JESSEN

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The First Deputy Premier of Mongolia N.Altankhuyag met Tuesday Mr. F.Jessen, a head of Mongolian Affairs Section at the European Commission (EC).
N.Altankhuyag has pointed out that the relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the European Union (EU) are widening, and expressed a satisfaction with forwarding of a partnership and cooperation agreement to be established between the sides.
He has underlined that Mongolia is studying experiences of eastern European countries, who joined the EU, in order to introduce common principles, norms and standards of the EU in socio-economic sectors.
"...We intend to approve a working plan by the government in frames of the above purpose," N.Altankhuyag went on. He has thanked the EU for a decision to grant assistance of EUR 15 million to Mongolia, and has emphasized that it will significantly contribute to implementing the purpose of introducing European standards.
Mr. Jessen has said he appreciated Mongolia's intention to drill European standards and added that the EC will comprehensively support Mongolia.
