FRG president to deliver lecture at HSE, tour three cities.

MOSCOW, October 13 (Itar-Tass) - President Christian Wulff of the
Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) will deliver a lecture at the Higher
School of Economics (HSE) here on Wednesday and will then travel by the
express train Sapsan (merlin) to the city of Tver.
Over there, the German president is scheduled to meet with Tver Region
Governor Dmitry Zelenin, Tver Mayor Vladimir Babichev, and visit the
Crisis Center of the Ministry for Emergencies. Meanwhile, Bettina Wulff,
the wife of the German president, will tour a perinatal center.
After visiting Tver, the FRG president will head for St Petersburg
where he will meet with Governor Valentina Matviyenko and visit the German
military cemetery at Sologubovka. On October 14, Christian Wulff is to
visit Ulyanovsk where he will get acquainted with the economic potential
of the region.
Regional cooperation is figuring importantly in Russo-German
partnership. Special attention at the upcoming talks will be devoted to
interaction in the realm of high technologies, the formation of
technological alliances of Russian and German companies in the energy
sector, automobile manufacture, and in scientific, technical and cultural
cooperation.
On Tuesday, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev emphasized that Russia
and Germany "must develop most diverse areas of cooperation". Christian
Wulff reaffirmed that his visit would serve to promote the development of
bilateral relations.
