Anama destroys over 2 thousand uxos and mines in September
Baku, October 13 (AzerTAc). The Azerbaijan National Mine Action (ANAMA) has cleared 2,643,978 sq. meters area of land from 2,207 Unexploded Ordnances (UXO) and mines in September. ANAMA found 18 tanks and 5 personnel mines.
Demining operations involved 425 deminers, 6 mechanical demining machines, 30 mine detection dogs.
To date, ANAMA has cleared 143,900,245 sq.m. of land, destroying 627,407 mines and UXOs.
The Agency has carried demining operations in the regions of Tartar, Agdam, Agstafa, Fizuli, Gadabay, Goygol and Garadag district of Baku.
