Suva, Aug. 1 (ANTARA) - Four Fiji artists will join a group of 20 people from Pacific Island countries who will participate in a cultural exchange program with Indonesia.
The third secretary at the Indonesian Embassy in Suva, Lina Yanti Dilliane, said the two-month scholarship was an annual program to promote cooperation in the areas of art and culture, the Fiji Time Online reported here on Friday.
Dilliane said the participants were between the ages of 18 and 35 and had a background in art.
Wayne Mataika, 22, of the Vou Dance Group in Suva, said he was excited about the trip to Jakarta.
"The trip will be good because we will learn art, music, culture and language, " he said.
A statement said the program would be held at four art and culture centers in Bali, West Java and Central Java.
Students from 29 countries, including 21 from the Pacific, will participate in the program.
