Kazakhstan to export grain after it collects over 13 mln tonnes

ASTANA, October 12 (Itar-Tass) - Kazakhstan's grain output comprised
13.6 million tonnes in bunker weight, Agriculture Minister Akylbek
Kurishbayev told a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
"Taking into account last year's grain remains this volume will be
enough to meet the domestic demand and to maintain exports at the average
annual level," he said.
The minister noted that of late Kazakhstan's grain export comprised
2.2 million tonnes, of them 42 percent are flour.
Earlier, Kazakhstan's Agriculture Ministry forecast this year's grain
production at 13-14 million tonnes and export opportunities were estimated
at 6-7 million tonnes.
In 2010-2011 Kazakhstan plans to export grain to other Central Asian
countries as well as to Afghanistan, the Caucasus, Russia and Iran.
