Banking deposits in Yemen increase twenty-fold
SANA'A, July 31 (Saba) - The banks' deposits in Yemen has increased during the last 12 years twenty-fold, according to an officialreport issued by the Central Bank of Yemen.
The report showed that the foreign currency deposits in the commercial banks form 44 percent of the total deposits while the deposits of Yemeni Riyal form 27 percent.
Worth mentioning, Yemeni citizens and foreign residents have the right to open a bank account in any currency they want.
