DISASTERS OCCUR 2,192 TIMES
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In the first nine months of 2010, 2,192 disasters occurred. Due to these disasters, 178 people had died, 9.7 million heads of livestock had been lost.
According to the types of disasters, 1,819 ones were object fires, 92--forest fires, and 26--heavy storms. Estimated damage caused by the disasters amounted to MNT 530.8 billion in the first nine months of this year.
