METEOROLOGY AND HYDROLOGY INSTITUTE REPORTS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has revealed that maximum precipitation was in Bogd soum, (68.7 mm) Ovorkhangai aimag in September, 2010.
Absolute high air temperature reached 35.0°C in Khovsgol soum, Dornogobi aimag, whereas absolute low air temperature was
-14.0°C in Tsetsen-Uul soum, Zavkhan aimag and in Yoroo soum, Selenge aimag. Maximum wind speed reached 24 m/sec in Olgii soum, Bayan-Olgii aimag and in Bogd soum, Ovorkhangai aimag.
Concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded 13 times around West crossroad, 7 times around 1st micro district, and 15 times around 13th micro district; concentration of sulphur dioxide exceeded twice around Khan-Uul district, 3 times around 13th micro district, 5 times around Kharkhorin market, particulate matter less than 10 micrograms exceeded 3 times around Khan-Uul district, 8 times around West crossroad, 14 times around 13th micro district, 18 times 32nd Circle, and 22 times around the Kharkhorin market from the maximum allowable concentration of air quality standard in September, 2010.
