INDUSTRIAL OUTPUTS INCREASES
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In the first 9 months of 2010, the total industrial output increased by 175.2 bln.tog or 15.0 percent to 1,341.1 bln.tog (at 2005 constant prices) compared to the same period of the previous year. It was mainly due to 35.1 percent to 2.3 times increase in main mining and quarring products such as fluor spar concentrate, coal, crude oil, iron ore; and 7.5 percent to 2.5 times increase in industrial products such as sawn wood, metal sleeper, lime, proton exchange fuel, copper 99%, soft drinks, felt, alcohol, solid concrete, wine, cement, yogurt, beer, flour, metal foundries, milk, and steel casting etc.
Industrial output (at 2005 constant prices) in the first 9 months of 2010 showed increase in mining of coal and lignite extraction of peat (88.3%), extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas (41.1%) and other mining and quarrying (23.0%) for the mining and quarrying sector; production of other nonmetallic mineral products (43.5%), manufacture of rubber and plastics products (41.3%), manufacture of wearing apparel, dressing and dyeing of fur (34.7%), manufacture of food products and beverages (33.4%), manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (31.2%), manufacture of basic metals (28.3%), manufacture of wood and wooden products (23.6%), publishing, printing and reproduction of recorded media (14.2%), manufacture of coke, refined petroleum products and nuclear fuel (12.7%), manufacture of textiles (11.3%), manufacture of tobacco products (0.2%) for the manufacturing sector compared to the same period of previous year.
For the electricity, thermal energy and water supply subdivision, there was an increase in production of electricity, thermal energy, and steam (6.6%).
