GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Gross domestic product (at 2005 constant prices) reached 2,646.5 bln.tog in the first 3 quarters of 2010, showed 156.6 bln.tog or 6.3 percent increase against the same period of previous year. It happened mainly due to the increases in value added of industrial, construction and service sector, and taxes on products.
The national consumer price index in September of 2010 decreased 0.7 percent compared to the previous month, and increased by 8.3 percent compared to the end of the previous year, and by 10.6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. The decrease in national index against the previous month was mainly due to a 2.1-percent decrease in food and non-alcoholic beverages.
