Azerbaijan President receives Iranian deputy foreign minister, President`s special representative for Caspian affairs
Baku, October 11 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received today Iranian deputy foreign minister, President`s special representative for Caspian affairs Mohammad Mehdi Akhundzadeh.
The Head of State congratulated Mohammad Mehdi Akhundzadeh on his new appointment.
The President expressed hope the fact that bilateral relations are developing successfully would contribute to resolution of Caspian-related issues.
Touching upon a summit of the Caspian littoral states to be held in Baku, the President expressed assurance that its results would be positive.
Mohammad Mehdi Akhundzadeh, in turn, extended the greetings of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Iranian people to the Azerbaijani leader.
He said he was honored to make his first visit to Azerbaijan after the appointment.
President Ilham Aliyev asked Mohammad Mehdi Akhundzadeh to convey his greetings to the Iranian leader.
