BI TO ANTICIPATE CLIMATE CHANGE ISSUE
Nusa Dua, Bali, Aug. 1 (ANTARA) - Bank Indonesia (BI) is ro anticipate the climate change issue which could negatively affect the country's macro-economic conditions, the bank's chief said.
BI Governor Boediono in his speech to open an international seminar on "Macroeconomic Impact of Climate Change: Opportunities and Challenges" here on Friday said the advanced countries had agreed to draw up programs to increase investment and boost transfer of technology to developing countries.
"We realize that in developing countries, the negative impact of climate change is combined with the incapability of human resources due to lack of technology and financial resources," he said at the sixth annual seminar organized by BI
