Man fronts court on child porn charges

A Perth man has faced court on eight counts of accessing child pornography online.
Murray Britza of Beverley, 130km east of Perth, pleaded not guilty in the Perth
District Court on Monday to accessing child pornography websites between November
2008 and June 2009.
During opening submissions, prosecutor Anthony Eyers said police had obtained a
warrant to install listening devices and a hidden camera in Britza's home office
where he kept his computer.
He said evidence was collected and then the Corruption and Crime Commission obtained
a warrant to search the house on July 3, 2009.
The search lasted four hours and involved the seizure of a satellite modem and a
Toshiba notebook computer.
Mr Eyers said the prosecution aimed to prove that Britza accessed child pornography
websites through his home computer.
The trial continues.
