QUEEN OF DENMARK RECEIVES TS.ELBEGDORJ

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj was received October 8 by Her Majesty Margrethe II, the Queen of Denmark, in the Amalienborg Palace, Copenhagen. The Queen had a banquet with Mongolia's President. Present at this banquet were Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark; Mr. Lars Lokke Rasmussen, the Prime Minister of Denmark; Mr. Thor Pedersen, the parliament Speaker, other officials.
At the meeting held during the banquet, Her Majesty asked the Mongolian President about his country--nature, people's life, unique features, development.
Crown Prince Frederik has taken part in shooting a documentary about Mongolians' lifestyle, besides, he visited Mongolia in 2008 on occasion of the 40th anniversary of Mongolia-Denmark diplomatic relations.
Interestingly enough, a father of honorary consul Mr. Haslund Christensen, who has served as a Marshal of the Amalienborg Palace for many years, travelled in Mongolia in 1920-1930s and wrote several books about Mongolia. As has been said, these books are most favorite books among Danish teenagers.
At the end of the meeting Ts.Elbegdorj invited the Queen to Mongolia.
