Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ After his official visit to the Republic of Finland, the President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj started another official visit--to the Kingdom of Denark on October 7, 2010.
During the two-day stay, the President will be received by Her Majesty Margrethe II, the Queen of Denmark. He will meet with Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark; Mr. Lars Lokke Rasmussen, the Danish Prime Minister; and with Mr. Thor Pedersen, the parliament Speaker.
The State Head plans to get au fait with the Avedore power station and activities of some organizations of agriculture and technology.

The State Head of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdporj met October 8 with Thor Pedersen, the Speaker of Denmark.
They have shared views on the Mongolia-Denmark Relations, the ties between legislative bodies and other issues. Present at the meeting were G.Zandanshatar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia; T.Badamjunai, the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry; L.Gundalai, E.Monkh-Ochir, S.Byambatsogt; B.Enkhmandakh MPs, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Denmark, other officials.
The Danish Speaker has noted that Mongolia has successfully tranferred to the democracy and market economy system in last 20 years and has gained achievements in respecting participation of citizens, press freedom and human rights. He has sounded an aspiration to widen the inter-parliamentary relations between the countries.
In response, Ts.Elbegdorj has pointed out that Mongolia wants to cooperate with northern European countries including Denmark in strengthening valuables of democracy, promoting corruption-free environment and civil participation and developing economics by environmentally-friendly methods.
The same day, the President received Mr. Lars Lokke Rasmussen, the Danish Prime Minister. The dignitaries have discussed issues on the bilateral relations and cooperation.
The State Head has underlined that Mongolians thanks the government of Denmark for supporting it in tranferring to the democracy and for involving in the program of helping such countries.
Mr. Rasmussen has expressed a hope that an agreement on partnership and cooperation to be established between Mongolia and the European Union will be positively fruitful for the Mongolia-Denmark collaboration.
The sides have agreed to develop cooperation in education, culture and science, in supporting exchange of students and youths, rehabilitating environment and mining, introducing clean technologies into production, contributing the public endeavor against climate change and in improving skills of troops participating in peacekeeping operations. The sides have agreed to collaborate in introducing the Danish experiences in exploiting cooperative into the agricultural sector and processing meat and milk.

Ts.Elbegdorj visited October 8 the Confederation of Danish Industry (CDI) and then attended an opening of the Mongolia-Denmark Business Meeting.
After a remark by Mr. Hans Skov Christensen, the CDI's president, the State Head Ts.Elbegdorj has delivered his speech on investment environment in Mongolia and state policy. He has underlined that a willingness of Mongolia--the located between two big states country--to attract investments and implementation of the biggest mining projects are becoming major factors to attract attentions of investors. "…Especially the tax policy of my country is attracting a great attention of European countries," he added.
At the business meeting, N.Zoljargal, the vice president of the Bank of Mongolia, has delivered a report on general review of Mongolian economics; Z.Battushig, head of the Foreign Investment and Foreign Trade Agency--on environment of investments in Mongolia and business opportunities; and Ch.Ganbat, an advisor to the Minister of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development--on an industrial park in Sainshand.
The CDI's president Hans Skov Christensen has spoken about a general situation of economics in Denmark, its competitiveness and advantages. In addition to this, a director of the Danish Authority of Thermal Pipes, Mr. E.B. Christensen has delivered a report about exploitation of new and clean technologies and renewable resources, and history and experiences of cooperation with Mongolia in thermal pipes.
The sides have discussed condition of making investments to Mongolia from Denmark for developing progressive technologies. It is can be seen from this meeting that Denmark has a willingness to make investments to Mongolia and to attract investments from Mongolia for developing mutually beneficial collaboration.

The Oyu Tolgoi LLC has officially reported that Mr. Cameron McRae has been appointed the CEO of the Oyu Tolgoi LLC. He had been a president of the Oyu Tolgoi project for three years, and worked as executive director and CEO of the Richards Bay Minerals (RBM), a South African mining and a branch of the Rio Tinto company.
Replacing the current president and CEO of the LLC Keith Marshall, Mr. McRae will take the office December 1 of 2010.
Mr. Marshall is going to serve as an administrative official in Rio Tinto's headquarters in London, the UK.

The Fourth World University Boxing Championships took place October 5-10, 2010 in the Central Palace of Sports, Ulaanbaatar.
The competitions attracted 77 boxers from 15 countries. Mongolia was represented by ten boxers competed in every weight categories, a senior coach D.Bandi and coaches of the state selected team D.Ganzorig and D.Batsuren. A State Honored Sportsman and World champion P.Serdamba has led the national team the competitions.
The Mongolian team has won three gold, three silver and two bronze medals. The gold medalists are P.Serdamba (49 kg), N.Togstsogt (52 kg) and B.Tuvshinbat (64 kg). E.Iderkhuu (56 kg), S.Erdenebayar (81 kg) and D.Iderbat (+91 kg) have grabbed silver medals, and D.Otgondalai (60 kg) and L.Shinetulga (69 kg)-bronze medals.
As of the final team results, the team of Mongolia has been ranked at 1st place. The team of Mongolia was followed by the team of Russia which has won three gold, one silver and two bronze medals, and the Turkish team--two gold and one silver medals and two bronze medals.

Mongolian weightlifters have grabbed medals in the "World Masters" tournament organized by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) in Ciechanуw city, Poland.
An athlete of the "Aldar" sports club Sh.Lhagva has won a silver medal in men's 56 kg weight category, and an international master of sports B.Tsegmed has won a bronze medal in the men's 69 kg category.
By the way, B.Tsegmed won a gold medal in the Powerlifting Asian Championships in master category, and has broken several times records of Asia for the weight categories of 82.5 kg and 75 kg.

An international master of sports for motocross E.Khaliunbold won a silver medal in the third round of the Motocross Asian Championships which has taken place in Teheran city, Iran.
E.Khaliunbold has been ranked at the second place overall due to taking the second place in the third round. Thus, Tomoyuki Suzuki of Japan has led the tournament by scores after winning this round. An Iranian racer Amir is following the Mongolian and Japanese racers.
The final round will run in Saudi Arabia.

Five stock trades were held at Mongolia's Stock Exchange (MSE) during the week from October 4 to October 8. In overall, 2.8 million shares of 35 JSCs were sold totaling 3.3 billion MNT trade.
Index top-20 was 13087.88 points increasing by 107.18 units, or 0.8%, against the week earlier. The total market capitalization was set at MNT one trillion and 182.2 billion increasing by MNT 19.4 billion or 1.7%.
Shares of "Olloo" JSC (21.3%), "Eermel" (15.3%) and "Mongol shiltgeen" (15.0%) were increased, but, "Nako tulsh" (13.5%), "Atar orgoo" (11.1%), and "Almaas" (9.1%) JSCs were decreased at the MSE. A total of 35 shares were sold. Of them, rate of 16 shares were increased, rate of seven shares were decreased, and rate of 12 shares were stable.
Shares of "Mongolia Development resources" JSC (1,953.3 thousand units), "Bi Di Sek" (265.5 thousand units) and "Khokh gan" (224.4 thousand units) JSCs were actively traded in terms of trading volume, but in terms of trading value "Mongolia Development Resources" (MNT 2.3 billion), "Bi Di Sek" (MNT 650.5 million) and "Sharyn gol" (MNT 148.7 million).
