Iran ready to boost economic ties with Russia: minister
Tehran, Oct 10, IRNA – Iran’s Minister of Economy Shamseddin Hosseini Sunday called for further expansion of Tehran-Moscow economic relations.
Hosseini made the remark in a meeting with Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kurdin held on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank twice-yearly meetings.
Referring to valuable experiences of the Iranian experts in oil, gas and minerals exploitation, the Iranian minister said the two countries can boost ties in those areas.
He underlined the need for presence of private sector in Iran-Russia economic activities.
For his part, Kurdin said his country attaches great importance to expansion of economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic.
Lauding Iran’s great economic potentials, Kurdin said Russian companies are very much interested in making investments in Iran./end
