Official: West sanctions have no effects on Iran’s exchanges

Kuala Lumpur, Oct 10, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister in Asia and Pacific Affairs said that imposing sanctions by the west have had no effects on Iran’s exchange with other countries.

Mohammad Ali Fatollahi, who is in Brunei, told IRNA here on Sunday that no special problems have been seen in Iran's exchanges with other countries after the sanction resolution was issued.

He added that even in some areas such as Asia, Latin America and independent commonwealth countries, Iran's exchanges level has been increased after the sanctions.

The deputy FM noted that countries are following their own national interests and do not want to ignore their interests for the sake of the west.

Concerning upcoming negotiations with member countries of Group 5+1 and possibility of presence of Iran’s friend countries in the talks, Fatollahi said that Iran has determined these countries and they will certainly attend the negotiations.

He said that Iran’s strategy in this concern is to let other countries participate in the negotiations./end
