Iranian envoy submits credentials to Polish president

Berlin, Oct 9, IRNA -- Iran's new Ambassador to Poland Samad Ali Lakizadeh on Friday presented his credentials to Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski in Warsaw.

Pointing to the long traditional friendship between Poland and Iran, Lakizadeh expressed his country's readiness to extend bilateral relations on all levels.

Lakizadeh referred to Poland's upcoming rotating European Union presidency in the second half of 2011 as an opportunity to expand discussions between both sides on important regional and international issues.

He voiced hope that Poland could come up with new ideas to help settle some of the regional and international problems.

Meanwhile, the Polish president expressed his willingness to also deepen bilateral ties./end
