Netherlands hosts international conference on Opportunities in Offshore energy-2010

Baku, October 8 (AzerTAc). An international conference on Opportunities in Offshore energy-2010 has been held in the Dutch city of Den Helder.
The event brought together heads and representatives of the Dutch companies, state bodies and research centers.
Azerbaijan`s ambassador to the Netherlands Fuad Isgandarov has made a presentation on Azerbaijan`s economic opportunities.
He stressed despite a global financial crisis, Azerbaijan`s economy continued to develop.
Isgandarov underlined the development of a non-oil sector in Azerbaijan and creation of good conditions for foreign investments.
The presentation has also featured development of Azerbaijan`s oil and gas sector, as well as offshore production of gas and opportunities of natural gas transportation to world markets.
Head of the International Energy Program at the Dutch Clingendael Institute, senior researcher Christof Van Agt provided full information on Azerbaijan`s geostrategic situation, transportation of hydrocarbon resources to world market and Azerbaijan`s economic potential.
