Kazakhstan's students, teachers help wildfire victims in Altai
BARNAUL, October 7 (Itar-Tass) -- Students and teachers of Kazakhstan'
s universities have collected and forwarded humanitarian aid to homeless
victims of the wildfires in the Altai Territory.
They send over 20 computers, equipment, school uniforms and supplies
worth over three million roubles.
The aid is forwarded to Nikolayevka Village, which burned down in the
wildfires in early September. The fire came there from the territory of
Kazakhstan.
The Altai Territory is also collecting aid for the victims of the
fires. The regional branch of the Russian children's fund has collected
over four million roubles already.
Houses are reconstructed in Nikolayevka. Before the month ends, first
houses will be ready for the homeless, Deputy Governor Boris Larin said on
Thursday.
