SPEAKER GOT ACQUIANTED WITH ELECTRONIC VOTING SYSTEM

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Parliament Speaker D.Demberel got acquainted with the electronic election voting system.
To vote--for a one candidature only--a person needs to insert his fingerprint and register his private information. Then preliminary results, already filed, is sent through Internet to the General Election Committee, gathered and announced nationwide. All this process takes 30 minutes, a delegation of the Election Systems & Software company says.
The electronic voting system might be put on the ballot box, in case of no power it works on chargers 16 hours. One such a system costs USD 6,000. "If to buy large quantity, we can give discount," the delegation added.
Present at the system presentation were D.Demberel, parliament Speaker, some members of the Mongolian Revolutionary Party and Democratic Party's factions.
