Government approves YR 1 billion budget for scholastic year 2008-2009
SANA'A, July 31 (Saba) -The Yemeni government has approved YR 1 billion budget for the scholastic year 2008-2009 to cover the cost of all services at schools across the republic, the daily althawra has said.
At a meeting with the ministry deputies and offices heads, the Education Minister Abdu al-Salam al-Jawfi said the ministry decided to increase the salaries of the teachers in the remote areas by 30%.
Al-Jawfi ordered the offices heads to re-distributethe teachers in the way that meets with the need of every area in the country to avoid the lack of teachers.
