N.ENKHBOLD TAKES PART IN IPU ASSEMBLY
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Representatives of Mongolia's parliament led by N.Enkbold, a Vice Speaker, are taking part in the 123rd Assembly of Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva October 4-6.
During the Assemly that is discussing "Transparency and accountability in the funding of political parties and election campaigns" and "The role of parliaments in ensuring sustainable development through the management of natural resources, agricultural production and demographic change" themes, Mr. Enkhbold has met the IPU authority and heads of delegations of several countries.
Mr. Enkbold has invited Mr. Anders B.Johnsson, IPU Secretary-General, to the 19th Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) to run in Mongolia in January of 2011.
The same day he met with the head of representatives of Panama, who is host the next, 124th Assembly of IPU, and with a head of representatives of Australia to exchange views on interparliamentary cooperation.
