Partnership between Aden and WB discussed
ADEN, July 31 (Saba) - Aden Governor Adnan al-Jafri discussed on Thursday with head of World Bank Mission in Washington SamehWahba possibilities of creating a real partnership between Aden governorate and the World Bank in the framework of donors support to establish infrastructure projects in the governorate.
Aden city needs to set-up a number of vital projects to qualify it to host 20th Gulf Cup championship such as projects in fields of electricity, sanitation and water, al-Jafri said.
He pointed out to the importance of Aden Free Zone to attract further investment projects, which contribute to qualify the governorate to host various events.
For his part, head of the WB mission pointed out to the policies of the bank in supporting vital and service projects in a number of less developed countries, reviewing a number of projects and programs which are being implemented by the WB in Yemen to help it to resolve its economic problems.
