Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The State Head of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj and some politicians laid Saturday wreaths to the statue of late Zorig Sanjaasuren, one of the pioneers of Mongolia's Democratic Revolution and the Minister of Infrastructure, who was murdered October 2, 1998.
Apart of the President, present at the ceremony of paying a tribute were S.Oyun MP, the youngest sister of late S.Zorig and a chairwomen of the Civil Will Party; B.Erdenebat, the secretary-general of the Democratic Party (DP); Sh.Tuvdendorj, head of the City's section of the DP; U.Khurelsukh, the secretary-general of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP); L.Oyun-Erdene, the president of the youths' organization at the MPRP; and relatives of S.Zorig. Students of the "Sako" management institute and officials of foreign and domestic organizations that cooperate with the "Zorig" foundation also participated in the ceremony.

In frames of an official visit to Canada, the Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Batbold participated in the Canada-Mongolia Investors' Forum held on September 30 in Toronto city, which brought together representatives of the biggest companies of the North America and the largest mining entities such as the "Rео Tinto", "Centerro Gold", "South Gobi" and "Ivanhoe Mines".
The Premier has given a report to the gathered at the forum on a present situation of Mongolian development, investments, business environment and laws. He has stated that the coalition government of Mongolia will pay an attention to forming a sustainable and open environment for carrying out and expanding business.
After attending the forum, the Premier has visited the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE). Established in 1852, the TSE is the largest stock exchange in the North America. As of this year, 1,419 mining companies have been registered at the TSE. The President TSX Markets and Group Head of Equities TMX Group at the TSE Mr. Kevan Cowan told the Premier that the TSE had a benefit of USD 65 trillion in times of the global financial crisis in 2009. As of today, 19 mining companies which are registered at the TSE have been carrying out their business in Mongolia.
The Prime Minister said that Mongolia wants to study experiences the TSE, and underlined that Mongolian national companies intend to issue their stock for the first at the international market.
The TSE's authorities expressed a willingness to develop a comprehensive cooperation with the Mongolian Stock Exchange (MSE).

The same day, the Prime Minister arrived in Vancouver city, and met with some 300 Mongolians who are living and working in the city. He introduced to them a situation of Mongolia, the state policy and the biggest projects and programs implemented by the government.
At the meeting held with the Mongolians, the Premier underlined an importance of role of those Mongolians who are studying in Canada to create the developmental model of this country in Mongolia.
On October 1, the Premier delivered a speech at a forum of investors organized in Vancouver city. During this forum, the Mongolia's Ministry of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development has established a memorandum with the Forestry Innovation Investment (FII) of British Columbia State.
By the tour to Vancouver city, the Prime Minister has finished his official visit to Canada, and he has left for Japan.

The Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Batbold has arrived in Japan after finishing his official visit paid to Canada, in order to attend a ceremony for the retirement of Sumo Grand Champion Yokozuna Asashoryu D.Dagvadorj from sumo sport, which has been held in the Sumo Hall, Tokyo city.
During the stay in Tokyo, the Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Naoto Kan has met S.Batbold in accordance with a request of the Japanese side. Present the meeting were some outstanding politicians and business representatives.
Beginning the meeting, Mr. Kan has expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with the Mongolia's Premier, and added "We met again in Tokyo after the 65th session of the UN General Assembly held in New York City". Mr. Kan said that he remembered about brilliant competitions of Asashoryu, and that he had personally granted prizes to sumo champions of Mongolia.
The Prime Ministers have raised issues on making investments to the spheres of mineral resources, infrastructure and other sectors and on developing cooperation in exploitation of rare mineral elements. Mr. Kan has reported that a Japanese research group intends to make exploration in Mongolia by October of this year pursuant to an agreement made by the bilateral meeting held in New York City.
In his turn, Mr. Batbold expressed thanks to the Japanese Premier for giving opportunities to hold a working meeting again and to share opinions with the biggest business delegates of Japan. Mr. Batbold noted that brilliant successes of Mongolian sumo wrestlers have significant contribution to forwarding the bilateral relations. "Mongolia attaches a great importance to the relations with Japan which is turning into the strategic partnership relations from the comprehensive ties," Mr. Batbold has stressed adding that our countries have an opportunity to bring their collaboration into a newer level in many sectors.
The Mongolia's Premier expressed willingness to establish a processing factory producing value-added products using the environmentally-friendly technologies of Japan based on mineral resources of Mongolia. Then, he mentioned that both Mongolian and Japanese investors are possible to participate in the great construction of Mongolia such as constructing railways for mines and thermal power plants.
At the meeting, the Premiers also shared views on a preparation for a visit of the Mongolia's President to be paid to Japan. In addition, representatives of the Japanese biggest entities such as the Sumitomo Corporation, Toshiba, Marubeni, Sojitsu and Mitsui Bussan have expressed their position on cooperation with the Mongolian side and on investment environment.

A delegation headed by T.Badamjunai, the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia have participated in both the 30th meeting of the 30th session of the FAO Regional Conference for Asia and the Pacific (APRC) and in the Regional Agricultural Ministerial Meeting. These meetings were held from September 27 to October 1 in Gyeongju city, the Republic of Korea.
The above regional conference of the FAO has brought together some 300 representatives from 28 countries of the region and from international NGOs of 12 countries and UN specialized organizations. The participants have shared views on food safety, affect of global climate change to the agricultural sector, adaptation, reducing negative effects to agriculture and increasing investments for the agricultural sector.
The regional forum has considered for the first time the budget of the FAO for 2012-2013, financing for 2010-2013, activities to be done in the region, and received opinions from member states on making structural reform of the FAO.
In frames of the forum, the Minister T.Badamjunai has held a meeting with Mr. Jacques Diouf, the FAO Director-General. T.Badamjunai has reported to the FAO Director-General about the governmental programs of Mongolia for developing food, agriculture and light industry sectors such as the Third Campaign for Reclaiming Virgin Lands, the "Mongolian livestock" program and another program on small and middle-sized productions. The Minister said that he highly spoke assistance and support rendered from the FAO, and added that Mongolia wants to contribute to tackling problems faced to implementation of the Millennium Developmental Goals (MDGs) and to providing those 600 million people who are in shortage of food with foods. Moreover, Mr. Badamjunai mentioned that the FAO rendered assistance to Mongolia for increasing number of meat and milk factories and supporting irrigated land agriculture and family business of growing vegetables.
