PACE FALL SESSION COMMENCES

Baku, October 4 (AzerTAc). The autumn session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has kicked off in Strasbourg today.
A group of Azerbaijani MPs led by chairman of the MM commission for international relations and interparliamentary ties Samad Seyidov is attending the session.
The session participants will hear progress a report of the Bureau of the Assembly and the Standing Committee.
They will also exchange views on a wide range of issues, including national security, fight against extremism, children without parental care, child abuse in institutions, human rights and business, strategy, governance and functioning of the Council of Europe Development Bank , functioning of democratic institutions in Ukraine and observation of the constitutional referendum in Moldova
Azerbaijani MP Rafael Huseynov will deliver a report in the session on “Noise and light pollution”
The session will also examine Armenia`s honoring PACE commitments.
The participation of Armenian opposition suggests there will be heated debates in the meeting of the Monitoring Committee.
