Thailand’s Queen leaves Chulalongkorn Hospital: Royal Household Bureau

BANGKOK, Oct 3 – Thailand’s revered Queen Sirikit left King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital Sunday afternoon and returned to Siriraj Hospital after being admitted for a medical check-up and treatment late Thursday, according to the Royal Household Bureau.

The Queen, accompanied by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, left King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital at 4:09pm after being admitted to hospital late Thursday night on medical advice for a detailed medical checkup due to an irregular heartbeat.

After physicians treated her with ultra high frequency radio waves, her condition returned to normal and her heartbeat functioned normally.

When the Queen, dressed in a blue blouse and a pair of grey trousers, appeared together with Princess Sirindhorn, her subjects along the way shouted encouragement by voicing “Long Live the Queen."

Later the 78-year-old Queen returned to Siriraj Hospital where King Bhumibol Adulyadej has been receiving treatment and staying since September 19 last year.

His Majesty the King on Friday evening visited Her Majesty the Queen who was being treated on the 20th floor of the HM Queen Sirikit Building.

During her stay at Chulalongkorn Hospital, Privy Councillors, the prime minister, other prominent figures and the wider public thronged to sign get-well books at the HM Queen Sirikit Building. (MCOT online news)
