Saints fined $12,000 for lateness

St Kilda has been fined $12,000 by the AFL for committing a series of punctuality
offences before and during last Saturday's drawn grand final against Collingwood at
the MCG.
"The club was late for the commencement of the 2010 ... grand final parade, late on
ground for the start to the 2010 grand final and late to return to their positions
after the three-quarter time break," the AFL said in a statement.
"The club provided an explanation of each instance after a formal notice from the
AFL earlier this week and a total sanction of $12,000 was deemed appropriate."
