Putin to visit Golden Autumn-2010 agricultural exhibition
MOSCOW, October 1 (Itar-Tass) -- Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin
on Friday will visit the 12th national annual agricultural exhibition
Golden Autumn-2010, the government's press service reported.
The exhibition is held at the All-Russia Exhibition Centre from
October 1 through 11. Its aim is to reflect the current state of Russia's
agricultural sector, to demonstrate products and developments designed for
technical and technological modernization of the agricultural branch, as
well as innovative, energy efficient and resource saving technologies
needed to ensure the country's food security. Among the exhibition's
organizers are the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the government of
Moscow, the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the All-Russia
Exhibition Centre. Its sponsor is Rosselkhozbank.
More than 1,000 companies and organizations from Russia's 55 regions
and 32 foreign states are taking part in the exhibition. Winners of the
exhibition's 14 contests will be awarded medals and honorary diplomas.
The exhibition's business program includes 60 events, such as
conferences, forums, and seminars.
The exhibition is held within the framework of the Russian
Agricultural Week.
