N.GANBYAMBA MP VISITS UNIVERSITIES IN USA


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ N.Ganbyamba MP who was accompanying the Prime Minister S.Batbold at the 65th session of the UN General Assembly has visited the Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Seeking opportunities to develop a cooperation with these universities a requirement for which has been reflected in the parliament-approved state policy on high technological industries (June of 2010), he has met Philip S.Khoury, an Associate Provost of the MIT; Jack Taylor, a deputy director of the Technological License of the MIT; William Aulet, a Managing Director of MIT Entrepreneurship Center, and Leon Sandler, a director of the Investment Department.
The MIT is the top in the world school that puts the latest scientific achievements and newest technologies into production and sells them. As of today, alumni of the MIT have established 25 thousand business companies and created three million job places. According to statistics, these companies put two trillion US Dollars into economic circulation a year.
Mr. Ganbyamba also met with Robert L.Graham, an Assistant Director of the Harvard Materials Science Laboratory, and Jennifer Casasanto, a director of a department. The sides have underlined that Mongolia and the USA can conduct scientific and research works in nano-technological sector and train Mongolian students.
The U.S government has established the Nano Science and Engineering Center at the Harvard University. "If Mongolian scientists cover themselves transport expenses, they can do their scientific works in the center, said its authorities.
