CHAIRMAN OF CZECH REPUBLIC SENATE`S COMMITTEE TOURS HISTORIC CORE OF BAKU
Baku, September 29 (AzerTAc). Chairman of the Czech Republic Senate`s committee on European Union affairs Ludek Sefzig has toured the Icharishahar, Inner City, historic core of Azerbaijan`s capital.
While strolling along the Icharishahar, Sefzig was informed about the history of the State Historical and Architectural Reserve, which is included in UNESCO`s World Heritage List.
He visited the Palace of Shirvanshahs, built in early 15th century and considered as one of the landmark architectural monuments of Azerbaijan.
He also visited the 12th–century Maiden Tower and Bukhara Karavansarai.
