RF Chief of Gen Staff holds talks with Japan DM leadership.
TOKYO, September 29 (Itar-Tass) - Chief of the Russian General Staff, First Deputy Defence Minister Nikolai Makarov within his working visit to Tokyo on Wednesday held talks with Chief of Staff of the Japanese Self-Defence Forces (SDF) Ryoichi Oriki and other top officials of the Japanese Defence Ministry.
The RF General Staff chief discussed with the Japanese colleagues
problems of security in the Asia-Pacific region and possible ways of
cooperation between the Russian Armed Forces and Japan's SDF.
Besides, Makarov visited a number of SDF military facilities, in
particular, the Asaka garrison in the Japanese capital prefecture.
