Death toll from militants' attack on Tajik convoy rises to 26.

DUSHANBE, September 28 (Itar-Tass) - The number of servicemen killed
in the militants' attack on a Tajik military convoy on September 19 has
increased to 26, as Private Musulmankul Dodokalonov, 19, died in the
republican hospital on Monday, a Defense Ministry spokesman said.
Another fourteen servicemen are undergoing treatment; several of them
are in serious condition, spokesman Faridun Makhmadaliyev told Itar-Tass
on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, government troops in Tajikistan's Rasht district are
continuing the operation to neutralize illegal paramilitary formations in
the area. No details have been available.
Defense Ministry sources have released little information.
At present, it is impossible to learn anything about the
anti-terrorist operation in the region. The whole eastern region cannot be
reached by any kind of phone since September 22 "for technical reasons."
