B.SER-OD BREAKS STATE RECORD AT BERLIN MARATHON

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A member of Mongolia's light athletics national selected team, international master of sports B.Ser-Od took tenth place in the Berlin Marathon 2010 held September 26 in Berlin city, Germany.
This marathon was attended by 40 thousand male and female runners. Of them 35 thousand cpmpleted the way. According to Ch.Zorigtbaatar, a secretary-general of Mongolia's Light Athletics Federation (MLAF), Ser-Od covered 42 kilometers within two hours 12 minutes and 42 seconds, thus breaking Mongolian state record by two minutes.
Among men, a first place has been taken by Patrick Makau of Kenya (02:05:08) followed by Geoffrey Mutai of Kenya (02:05:10) and Bazu Worku of Ethiopia (02:05:25). Ethiopian runner Kebede Aberu has won a gold medal in the women's marathon (02:23:58) followed by Bezunesh Bekele (Ethiopia, 02:24:58) and Tomo Morimoto (Japan, 02:26:10).
