Kazakhstan to reap over 13M tonnes grain - Ministry of Agriculture.

ASTANA, September 27 (Itar-Tass) -- Kazakhstan will reap a harvest of
13.5 million tonnes of grain over the current year, and the export
potential will make 7-8 million tonnes, Minister of Agriculture Akylbek
Kurishbayev told the government on Monday.
"Along with the supplies we have, this will be enough for the domestic
consumption," he said.
Earlier, Kazakhstan was forecast to reap 14.5 million tonnes.
"Following the drought, we shall be able to reach about 13.5 million
minimum," Kurishbayev said. "As of today, we have reaped the crops at 97.9
percent of the fields, with an average of 8.7 metric centners from a
hectare we have reaped 13.2 million tonnes of grain."
