RF intends to sign with Vietnam agt on building of 1st NPP in Oct.

BEIJING, September 27 (Itar-Tass) - Russia intends to sign with
Vietnam an intergovernmental agreement in the construction of the first
nuclear power plant this October, head of the Rosatom Nuclear Energy State
Corporation Sergei Kiriyenko who is accompanying Russian President Dmitry
Medvedev on an official visit to China, told reporters on Monday.
"We see good prospects for cooperation with Vietnam, in October it is
planned to sign an intergovernmental agreement," Kiriyenko indicated.
According to him, Vietnam intends to build eight nuclear power plants, but
so far the issue of the construction of the first, trial NPP is under
discussion. Russia will get the contract on its construction. Russian
specialists will build in Vietnam NPPs with two units and VVER type
reactors.
