Fury`s Ufuk Talay cops two-game ban

North Queensland midfielder Ufuk Talay has received a two-match suspension for an
off-the-ball incident during the Fury's A-League game against Wellington on Friday
night.
Talay appeared to collect Phoenix striker Chris Greenacre with an elbow in the 13th
minute of the clash, won 2-1 by the Phoenix.
The incident escaped the attention of the referee but the A-League's Match Review
Panel later considered the incident and charged Talay with assault on a player -
violent conduct when not challenging for the ball.
Talay has until 1200AEST on Tuesday to accept the proposed sanction or refer the
matter to a hearing by the Football Federation Australia Disciplinary Committee.
The red card issued to Gold Coast's John Curtis in or around the 68th minute of the
match against Sydney FC on Sunday stands and he will serve the minimum one match
suspension.
