US, SKor undermine DPRK`s peaceful efforts with mil manoeuvres - NKor.

PYONGYANG, September 26 (Itar-Tass) - A statement by the secretariat
of the North's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland,
published on Sunday, says that North Korea "comes out for a dialogue, but
will never forgive provocateurs and will sweep them away from its road".
The Committee responded to a decision by South Korea and the US to
stage a major anti-submarine manoeuvres in the Yellow Sea between October
27 and October 1.
The statement notes that exploiting this demonstration of force,
Washington and Seoul "seek to undermine the DPRK's efforts at detente on
the Korean Peninsula and to head off improvement of relations between the
North and the South".
The Committee noted that the exercise starts at the time when the Red
Cross societies of the two Koreas began consultations on reunification of
family members, divided by the 1950-1953 Korean War.
Washington and Seoul already mounted joint manoeuvres this year, the
statement stresses, each time using as a pretext the scuttling of the
South Korean corvette Cheonan in the Yellow Sea on March 26, "with which
the DPRK has nothing to do".
In this connection, Pyongyang believes that the aim of these
manoeuvres that will involve warships, including submarines as well as
warplanes and gun-ships, is "to unleash eventually a new war on the Korean
Peninsula".
