President: Iran-Zimbabwe can help world restructure

New York, Sept 25, IRNA – Iran and Zimbabwe could take joint steps towards reforming global structures, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Friday night before leaving here for Tehran.
President Ahmadienjad made the remarks in a meeting with his counterpart from Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe.
Referring to the growing ties between Tehran and Harare, President Ahmadinejad stressed the need for using present potentials to boost bilateral cooperation.
He reiterated Tehran's interest to promote its bilateral ties with African countries.
Meanwhile, President Mugabe said, in return, that the people of Zimbabwe were interested to promote further ties with independent states of the world, Iran in particular.
He stressed the need for continuation of exchange of views and visits between officials of the two countries noting that Tehran and Harare could play a key role in promoting global peace by upgrading bilateral ties and cooperation./end
