President Ahmadinejad departs NY for Tehran

New York, Sept 25, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad departed New York on Friday evening (local time here, early Saturday morning Tehran time) for Iran.
President Ahmadinejad had arrived in New York to participate in the annual UN General Assembly meeting on Saturday, September 18th.
The Iranian president during an intensive working week agenda in addition to his address at the UNGA meeting titled the UN Summit on the Millennium Development Goals had many meeting with top world leaders and also took part in numerous interviews with the US media here.
Meetings with the Iranians livening, or residing in the United States, the US elites and academic folks, and various religious groups here were among the other activities of the IRI president and his accompanying delegation during their week-long visit of New York City.
It is noteworthy that the Iranian president’s remarks on the establishment of a shared global management system and his viewpoints on global and regional developments have had broad reflection in Iranian and world media services./end
