HEYDAR ALIYEV FOUNDATION DONATES APIDRA INSULIN TO KIDS

Baku, September 25 (AzerTAc). The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has embarked on humanitarian project donating Apidra insulin pens to 200 under 18 persons with type one diabetes
Apidra insulin produced by Sanofi-Aventis, a large pharmaceutical company, is rapid acting insulin analogues which have come into use over the past decade.
Prior to the project presentation, kids visited the Heydar Aliyev museum-school and saw here a photo stand reflecting the activity of the great leader.
Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov told of the Foundation`s activities. He dwelt upon “the highest care for the children with diabetes project” started in 2004. Since then, the Foundation has provided kids with insulin cartridges and pens. The HAF joined the World Diabetes Campaign in 2007. The HAF organizes summer schools for psycho-social rehabilitation of children with diabetes.
Greetings from President of the HAF, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva was conveyed to children at the event.
