FIRST DEPUTY PREMIER IN GENEVA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The First Deputy Premier of Mongolia N.Altankhuyag has attended the 2nd Ministerial meeting. It has ran in frames of the 48th session of the General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland.
Present at the meeting were Ministers for intellectual property affairs of some 70 countries such as China, the Republic of Korea, the Great Britain, Finland.
The participants have delivered reports about protection of intellectual property in their countries at the meeting held under a theme "Innovation, growth and development: Roles of intellectual property and experiences of the WIPO members".
Mr. Altankhuyag has given report on a present situation in protecting of intellectual property in Mongolia, a course of working out a national strategy for intellectual property and its importance for economic growth and development.
During the meeting, Altankhuyag met with Mr. Francis Gurry, the WIPO's Director-General to share views on the WIPO's activities and further cooperation between Mongolia and the WIPO.
