FIRST LADY ATTENDS INT'L SCIENTIFIC FORUM
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Mongolia's First Lady Kh.Bolormaa has taken part in a scientific forum themed "Cancer in Developing Countries: Facing the Challenge" of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The forum ran September 21-22 in Vienna, Austria.
Kh.Bolormaa met with Werner Burkart, a deputy Director-General of the IAEA and head of Department of nuclear sciences and applications, and with Massoud Samiei, a head, IAEA Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (PACT) September 22. They shared views on realizing the Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (PACT) in Mongolia that has been selected one of the implementing countries.
The same day, Kh.Bolormaa met a Director of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). The sides have agreed to enroll in the UICC a "Confidence-cancerless Mongolian fund" NGO, which is founded by Bolormaa herself.
Other meeting have run between the Firts Lady and administrations of the Association of Cancer, National Cancer Institute (NCI), International Initiative for anti-Breast Cancer of the USA (NGO).
