U.S CITIZEN JACK WEATHERFORD AWARDED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia G.Zandanshatar granted Wednesday a diploma of honor of Mongolia's Foreign Ministry to a U.S citizen Jack Weatherford.
The diploma has been awarded for a significant contribution to researching Mongolian national history and culture as well as for propagandizing them to public and developing the Mongolia-USA relations.
Mr. Weatherford is a professor of anthropology of the Macalester College in Minnesota. He has defended a doctor degree (Ph.D) of the University of California, San Diego and became a honorary doctor on humanitarian sciences of the "Chingis Khaan" college of Mongolia.
Mr. Weatherford has written many books such as the "Indian Givers: How the Indians of the Americas transformed the World", "The History of Money", "Savages and Civilization: Who Will Survive?" and "The Secret History of the Mongol Queens: How the Daughters of Genghis Khan Rescued His Empire".
One of his books--"Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World"--has been translated into 20 languages. In 2007, he was awarded the North Star Order of Mongolia pursuant to the President's decree. The book "The Secret History of the Mongol Queens: How the Daughters of Genghis Khan Rescued His Empire" was published in Mongolian in 2009.
