P.TSAGAAN RECEIVES WB'S SPECIALIST
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A senior advisor to the President P.Tsagaan met Wednesday Mr. Graeme Hancock, a senior mining specialist of the World Bank's office in Mongolia.
They have discussed a programme of refining upon the law on mineral resources to be co-implemented by parliament, government, the Presidential Office and other participants.
Mr. Hancock has expressed the WB's willingness to set up a working group to have it take part in the programme by making financing.
The sides have underlined that it is importan to propose specific revisions to the law on mineral resources in order to make it more comprehensive, to organize trainings and seminars led by professors from Australian universities and institutes, to make each participant's rights and roles more clear and transparent, and to heighten responsibilities.
The programme is expected to begin from autumn this year.
